Synopsis
Mickey 17 (2025) is a sci-fi dark comedy from director Bong Joon Ho — watch online on iFILM. Robert Pattinson plays Mickey Barnes, hired as an "expendable" on a deep-space colonization mission: his job is to die on demand and wake up in a freshly printed body, memories intact, ready to go again.
The crew is heading to the frozen planet Niflheim somewhere in the 2050s. Mickey falls into a cave and comes back alive — the local crawlers let him go, which nobody expected. The real trouble starts when he returns to base and finds Mickey 18 already up and walking around. Naomi Ackie plays Nasha, Mark Ruffalo is the despot in charge of the whole operation, and Steven Yeun rounds out the main cast. Warner Bros. Pictures backed the $118 million production, making it Bong Joon Ho's first English-language feature since Parasite.
The film is based on Edward Ashton's novel Mickey7 and turns the premise into a biting satire on corporate disposability and what makes a person actually themselves. Pattinson carries nearly every scene — often opposite himself. Stream Mickey 17 (2025) online on iFILM.
