Synopsis
Scenic Route (2013) is an American psychological thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Two old friends pull off the highway onto an empty desert road and end up stranded miles from anywhere, no signal and almost no water.
At first it's just an awkward wait for rescue. Then the hours pile up, no cars come, and the heat starts dragging out everything that has festered between Mitchell and Carter for years — resentment, envy, lives that didn't turn out as promised. A heart-to-heart curdles into a brawl, and the brawl into a fight to stay alive. Josh Duhamel and Dan Fogler carry the whole thing nearly by themselves: eighty-five minutes resting on two actors and a single dot on the map. Directors Kevin and Michael Goetz build a tight chamber piece where the real danger isn't the desert but the man sitting next to you.
