Synopsis
No Country for Old Men (2007) — watch online on iFILM. Joel and Ethan Coen adapted Cormac McCarthy's novel into one of the most unsettling crime thrillers in Hollywood history. Welder Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) stumbles on a drug deal gone wrong in the West Texas desert — bodies, a truck of heroin, and two million dollars in cash. He takes the money. That decision sets everything else in motion.
Anton Chigurh (Javier Bardem) comes to collect it. Bardem plays him without a flicker of menace or warmth — just a quiet, relentless certainty that the outcome is already decided. Sheriff Ed Tom Bell (Tommy Lee Jones) has policed this land his whole life and can't quite explain what he's looking at now. Woody Harrelson appears as a hired tracker who underestimates the situation badly.
The film won four Academy Awards at the 2008 ceremony, including Best Picture and Best Director — and it runs almost entirely without a score. The silence does the work. Stream No Country for Old Men in full on iFILM.
