Synopsis
Nude (2017) is a documentary you can watch online on iFILM, following photographer David Bellemere as he builds a fine-art calendar shot entirely around the naked body.
The commission comes from Steve Shaw, founder of the NU Muses project. On set the questions pile up: where art ends and provocation begins, how a model feels under the lens, why bare skin on camera still makes people uneasy. Rachel Cook, Jessica Clements, Ebonee Davis and other models speak frankly about bodies, shame and trusting the person behind the camera. Director Tony Sacco keeps the focus on process, not polish.
True to its tagline, "a body of work," this is more conversation than spectacle, examining how art frames nudity through one real shoot. Worth a look if you care about photography and the ethics of the image, not just pretty pictures. Stream Nude (2017) online on iFILM.
