Synopsis
Harvard Man (2001) — watch online on iFILM. Director James Toback's crime drama follows Alan Jensen (Adrian Grenier), Harvard's star basketball player, who gets pulled into a match-fixing scheme by Cindy Bandolini — played by Sarah Michelle Gellar — the mob boss's daughter running her own betting operation. A hundred thousand dollars sounds like reason enough to say yes. It is not.
The FBI moves in, the Bandolini crew wants answers, and somewhere in the wreckage Alan falls for his philosophy professor Chesney, played by Joey Lauren Adams. Eric Stoltz and Rebecca Gayheart round out the cast. Toback wraps a darkly comic campus film around a trap that closes slowly, each bad decision narrowing the exits a little further.
