Rounders

Rounders (1998) is a crime drama you can watch online on iFILM — one of the few films that poker players themselves actually respect. Director John Dahl follows Mike McDermott (Matt Damon), a law student with an almost mechanical ability to read a table. He loses every cent in a single night to Russian-American operator Teddy KGB (John Malkovich) and swears the underground rooms are behind him for good.

That lasts until his best friend Worm (Edward Norton) walks out of prison owing money to people who collect in broken bones. Mike co-signs the debt and steps back into the game — not for the thrill, but because the clock is already running. Gretchen Mol plays the girlfriend watching from the doorway, and John Turturro turns up as a mentor who knows exactly how this ends.
