The Blue Room

The Blue Room (La chambre bleue, 2014) is a French crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Julien, a contented husband and father, drifts into an affair with a married woman named Esther. A hotel room with blue walls, snatched afternoons, a few careless words whispered after sex — and his quiet life starts sliding off the rails.

It runs just 72 minutes, yet the tension keeps coiling tighter: interrogations, fragments of memory, and through all of it one question — was there even a crime, and what exactly is Julien guilty of? Mathieu Amalric directed the film from Georges Simenon's novel and plays the lead himself, opposite Léa Drucker and Stéphanie Cléau.
