The Undeclared War (Seasons 1–2)
The battle line is online
Synopsis
The Undeclared War (2022) is a British political cyber-thriller you can watch online on iFILM. It is 2024, a UK general election is weeks away, and inside GCHQ — the country's NSA-scale intelligence agency — a team of analysts spots an anomaly buried in the network traffic. Someone is preparing to attack the electoral system itself.
Among them is Saara, an intern with a gift for seeing the patterns in code that veterans miss. Department head Danny Patrick and agency legend John Yeabsley run the operation, but the further they dig, the clearer it gets: the front line runs through cables and foreign servers, and the enemy can barely be named. Creator and director Peter Kosminsky stages the attack without Hollywood gloss — screens, logs, and the slow-rising dread of people who grasp the scale long before the politicians do.
Simon Pegg takes a surprising dramatic turn alongside Adrian Lester and Mark Rylance. The show is honest about how information warfare corrodes trust in an election, which unsettles more than any shootout could. One for fans of brainy spy dramas like Homeland. Stream every episode of The Undeclared War online on iFILM.
