Lili

Sixteen-year-old Lili is stranded in an unfamiliar town with no money and no one to turn to. A traveling carnival takes her in. The magician she pins her hopes on has his eye elsewhere. She ends up confiding in the puppets — four characters controlled by a gruff, closed-off man named Paul — and the crowds gather to listen. Lili doesn't yet see that the puppeteer and the puppets are the same person, or that the man she finds cold is the one she's actually falling for.
