Synopsis
The Heir Apparent: Largo Winch (2008) is Jérôme Salle's globe-trotting action thriller, available to watch online on iFILM. Billionaire Nerio Winch turns up dead in a Hong Kong harbor, and his boardroom is already carving up the empire. Hardly anyone knows there is a hidden heir.
That heir is Largo (Tomer Sisley), an adopted orphan raised far from any of his father's money. To claim the Winch Group he has to do three things at once: stay ahead of hired killers, untangle who murdered Nerio, and outmaneuver the icy executive Ann Ferguson — played by Kristin Scott Thomas, cold and precise in every scene. The film moves from a Hong Kong brawl to a Balkan chase to flashbacks of the monastery where Largo grew up, all drawn from the long-running Belgian comic by Jean Van Hamme and Philippe Francq.
It is solid grown-up action without superhero gloss — the pull is the inheritance puzzle and a charismatic loner you actually root for. It did well enough to earn a sequel a few years later. Stream The Heir Apparent: Largo Winch (2008) online on iFILM.
