Synopsis

In seventeenth-century France, gardener Sabine De Barra lands a commission most would kill for: designing one of the outdoor rooms for the rising palace at Versailles. Sabine brings something messier and more alive to his measured plans, a little wildness among the hedges. Their working disagreements slowly turn into feeling, and a court built on whispers and rivalry has no patience for it. Kate Winslet and Matthias Schoenaerts carry the central thread, with Stanley Tucci and Helen McCrory rounding out the court.
