The Way

The Way (2010) is a drama directed by Emilio Estevez that you can watch online on iFILM. Tom, a California eye doctor, learns his son died on the first day of walking the Camino de Santiago, and flies to France to bring the body home.

Instead of just collecting the ashes, Tom decides to walk the full 500-mile pilgrimage across the Pyrenees to Santiago de Compostela himself. He has no training and no faith in the idea, yet the road pulls him along. He picks up companions: a Dutchman trying to drop weight, a sharp-tongued divorced Canadian, and an Irish writer who has run dry. Martin Sheen carries the trek, and the real-life bond with his son Estevez bleeds into every quiet scene.
