Synopsis
Death at a Funeral (2007) is Frank Oz's black comedy you can watch online on iFILM. A buttoned-up British family gathers at a country house to bury its patriarch. Daniel, played by Matthew Macfadyen, wants nothing more than a dignified send-off. From the first minute, the day refuses to cooperate.
The undertaker delivers the wrong corpse. A cousin's fiancé swallows a homemade hallucinogen instead of a tranquilizer and starts seeing things beside the coffin. Then a small, unfamiliar American — Peter Dinklage — turns up at the door, claiming he knew the dead man far more intimately than the relatives ever suspected. He has photographs, and his silence comes at a price with several zeros. From there the mourning slides into blackmail, panic and a body that simply will not stay put.
The whole thing unfolds in one house over a single afternoon, and the chaos runs on razor-sharp comic timing. The ensemble includes Alan Tudyk, Ewen Bremner, Keeley Hawes and Rupert Graves. Oz keeps tightening the screws as the family's decorum falls apart. Stream Death at a Funeral (2007) online on iFILM.
