Hold the Dark

Aging naturalist Russell Core arrives in the frozen settlement and quickly senses that the wolves are not the real story. What looks like a hunt curdles into something older and far darker. When the boy's father returns from the war, a wave of cold, methodical violence rolls across the region, dragging police and locals into events that refuse to be explained in any rational way.

The director of Green Room shoots slow and merciless: long silences, white emptiness, sudden bursts of brutality. Jeffrey Wright, Alexander Skarsgård, Riley Keough and James Badge Dale lead the cast.
