Synopsis
Dragon Hunters (Chasseurs de dragons, 2008) is an animated fantasy adventure you can watch online on iFILM. It unfolds in a shattered world where a single planet has broken into countless floating islands, strung together by rickety bridges, with hungry dragons prowling the gaps between them.
Young Zoe dreams of heroics and hires two "legendary" dragon hunters to rid her uncle's lands of a beast called the World Gobbler. The catch: lazy Gwizdo and gentle giant Lian-Chu are no heroes at all, just broke drifters chasing Lord Arnold's coin. The girl believes in them so completely that the two frauds slowly start growing into the legend. Their road leads to the very edge of the universe, where something far worse than any bedtime story waits.
The French production grew out of a TV series of the same name, and its artists deliberately turned away from glossy Pixar polish toward darker, almost painterly textures.
