Tarzan

Tarzan (2013) is an animated adventure you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Reinhard Klooss. This German-American take on Edgar Rice Burroughs' legend is built in full motion-capture 3D: after a plane goes down in the African jungle, the lone surviving infant is raised by a troop of wild apes.

Grown up and fearless, the boy has nearly forgotten he was ever human until explorer Jane Porter (Spencer Locke) wanders into his territory. On her trail are mercenaries sent by the new boss of Greystoke Energies, the very company Tarzan's parents once ran. To protect the home he knows, he has to reclaim the part of himself the jungle never erased.

Kellan Lutz voices the lead, and the whole film leans on performance-capture animation, an ambitious swing for a family release of its time. It's a straightforward pick for movie night if you want the familiar story without the Disney musical numbers. Stream Tarzan (2013) online on iFILM.
