Shutter

Shutter (2008) is a supernatural horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Newlyweds Ben and Jane move to Tokyo, hit a girl on a dark country road one night, and find no body when they stop. Soon pale, blurred shapes start bleeding into the photographs Ben develops, figures that have no business being in frame.

The more pictures the couple processes, the harder the ghost pushes into their lives. Joshua Jackson and Rachael Taylor play a marriage with someone else's guilt buried under it. Director Masayuki Ochiai handles this American remake of the 2004 Thai cult hit, keeping the original's signature idea intact: the dead surfacing on film. The twist ending outshines the movie around it. If you like vengeful-spirit J-horror and can stomach a few telegraphed jump scares on the way there, this one earns its runtime.
