Synopsis
Spider-Man (2002) — watch online the Columbia Pictures and Marvel superhero blockbuster on iFILM. Directed by Sam Raimi, the film launched a generation of comic-book cinema: Tobey Maguire plays Peter Parker, a quiet New York high-schooler who gets bitten by a genetically altered spider and wakes up with abilities he never asked for.
Peter is a bookish kid hopelessly in love with his neighbour Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) and too broke to do anything about it. Then one moment of hesitation costs him everything he loves, and the kid who got walked on becomes the city's only hope. His best friend Harry Osborn (James Franco) has no idea his father Norman (Willem Dafoe) is building the armoured, glider-riding Green Goblin persona in a secret Oscorp lab — a villain who turns New York into a target. Cliff Robertson's Uncle Ben delivers a line that still lands.
Sam Raimi balanced camp and genuine emotion in a way that set the template for every Marvel film that followed. J.K. Simmons as editor J. Jonah Jameson is worth the watch alone. Stream Spider-Man (2002) in full on iFILM.
