Synopsis

The Three Brothers (Les Trois Frères, 1995) is a French comedy you can watch online on iFILM. At their mother's funeral, three half-brothers meet for the very first time and discover they have family they never knew about.

Didier is a supermarket security guard living off his fiancée's parents. Bernard scrapes by on odd jobs. Pascal is the only one with a steady paycheck. News of a fat inheritance bonds the three of them instantly, and they start blowing francs they have not even received yet. Then comes the catch: a few days later they learn the money was left to a children's home, not to them. One ugly visit to the notary later, the brothers come completely off the rails.

The film was written, directed and performed by the comedy trio Les Inconnus, made up of Didier Bourdon, Bernard Campan and Pascal Légitimus, their feature debut. It turned into one of the biggest box-office hits in mid-1990s France, drawing millions to cinemas. Made for anyone who enjoys a coarse, good-natured farce about losers who suddenly get lucky. And then very much do not. Stream The Three Brothers (1995) online on iFILM.
