Synopsis
Flirting with Disaster (1996) is a screwball comedy from director David O. Russell — watch online on iFILM. Ben Stiller plays Mel Coplin, a new father who refuses to name his baby until he tracks down his biological parents. He drags his wife Nancy (Patricia Arquette) and a frazzled adoption agent named Tina (Tea Leoni) on a cross-country road trip that immediately starts going wrong.
Every stop produces a new catastrophe: a misidentified family in San Diego, an unexpected detour through Michigan, and by the time they reach New Mexico, Alan Alda and Lily Tomlin have walked in. Two overzealous ATF agents make everything worse. Josh Brolin appeared here in one of his earliest screen roles.
