Lady of the Manor

Lady of the Manor (2021) is a ghostly comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Hannah (Melanie Lynskey) coasts through life on small lies and weed until she lands an odd gig: leading tours of historic Wadsworth Manor while dressed as a refined Southern belle from the 1800s. Throw on the gown, fudge the script, collect the paycheck.

It doesn't go that smoothly. The real Lady Wadsworth (Judy Greer) shows up as an honest-to-goodness ghost, appalled at how her impersonator is trashing her good name. The prim phantom hands Hannah a deal: clean up your act or be haunted forever. What follows is a reluctant friendship between two women separated by roughly 150 years and a vast gap in manners.

This is the directing debut of the Long brothers, and yes, that's Justin Long himself turning up as a pompous historian. Ryan Phillippe and Luis Guzmán fill out the cast, while the laughs run on the clash between a buttoned-up lady and a slob with no filter.
