Synopsis
The Queen's Corgi (2019) is a family animated comedy you can watch online on iFILM. This Belgian-French cartoon follows the British queen's favorite dog, who tumbles from palace luxury to the back alleys of London. Directed by Ben Stassen and Vincent Kesteloot.
Rex is the top dog at Buckingham Palace and a bit of a show-off. He sleeps at the queen's feet and lords it over three other corgis. Then a state dinner with the U.S. president goes sideways, Rex sparks a diplomatic mess, and one of his own betrays him out the gate. Suddenly the pampered pet is a stray, thrown into an underground dog pound where he has to fight, make real friends, and stop thinking only of himself.
It comes from nWave, the studio behind Robinson Crusoe, so the look is bright and the jokes work on two levels — adventure for kids, palace satire for the adults.
