Synopsis

Oscar (1967) is a French farce starring Louis de Funes, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Industrialist Bertrand Barnier wants one quiet morning. Instead the doorbell rings, and his whole day collapses piece by piece.

First his employee Christian Martin barges in demanding a raise, then admits he embezzled a fortune from the factory and intends to marry the boss's daughter. From there the logic unravels fast. Suitcases stuffed with cash and jewels keep swapping hands, the maid threatens to run off with a rich neighbor, and Barnier ricochets around his living room, flushing red and snapping into de Funes' trademark grimaces. Edouard Molinaro staged it almost like the play it came from: one day, a handful of rooms, doors flying open.

This is de Funes at full throttle, the entire comedy riding on his fury, his machine-gun delivery, and the mime gags where one wrong handbag triggers an avalanche. Perfect if you love classic French slapstick that never lets you breathe. Stream Oscar (1967) online on iFILM.
