Synopsis
Teen Beach Movie (2013) is a Disney Channel musical comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Surfers Brady and McKenzie catch one giant wave and wipe out straight into a cheesy 1960s beach-party film.
Inside the fictional flick "Wet Side Story," bikers and surfers feud while everyone keeps bursting into song and dance on cue. Trouble is, the two teens accidentally rewrite the plot: the movie's dreamy leads fall for the newcomers instead of each other. Now Brady and Mack have to set the story straight or they're stuck in 1962 forever. Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell play a couple who'd rather ride a wave than nail the choreography.
Director Jeffrey Hornaday, the choreographer behind Flashdance, clearly built this around the numbers: loud costumes, surf-rock and a wink at the old Annette Funicello beach movies.
