Nat and Josh have known each other only a few months when they rush to the altar. The wedding is the easy part. What follows is the stuff greeting cards skip: a first married year where attraction curdles into low-grade annoyance. She's a buttoned-up careerist, he's a scruffy daydreamer, and they fit together worse by the day. Then temptation walks in from two directions, Nat's charming American client Guy (Simon Baker) and Josh's still-around ex Chloe (Anna Faris).

Rose Byrne and Rafe Spall carry the leads, but the scene-stealers are Stephen Merchant as the worst best man imaginable and Minnie Driver dispensing acid one-liners. This is a rom-com flipped inside out: instead of how they got together, it asks why they bothered. Cynical, funny and a good bit nastier than the usual love story.
