Synopsis

Javier, a high-flying ad executive, loses his job and has to sell his roomy place in central Barcelona. He keeps a spare set of keys. At first he only slips in while the new tenants are out. Then he starts engineering encounters, working his way into their lives, taking back his old space inch by inch. Javier Gutiérrez plays the intruder and Mario Casas the new father of the house, and the whole film rides on how calmly a quiet man can justify anything.
The Pastors skip jump scares and shouting. The dread here is domestic, built on class envy and a very composed obsession, and the last stretch gets almost physical.
