Following (1999) is Christopher Nolan's black-and-white neo-noir thriller you can watch online on iFILM. A bored young Londoner starts trailing strangers through the city, until one of them turns around.

Bill is an out-of-work writer hunting for material, so he picks people at random and shadows them down crowded streets. He has one rule: never follow the same person twice. When he breaks it, he draws the attention of Cobb, a smooth-talking burglar who breaks into flats less for the loot than to rummage through other people's lives. Cobb takes Bill on as an apprentice, and the harmless habit curdles into a trap with Bill at the center of it.

This was Nolan's first feature, shot over weekends for roughly six thousand dollars on a borrowed camera. The fractured timeline and sleight-of-hand storytelling he later made famous are already on display here, packed into a lean 68 minutes. Jeremy Theobald and Alex Haw lead the cast.
