13 Sins

13 Sins (2014) is a horror thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Elliot Brindle is a soft-spoken salesman buried in debt, days from his wedding and short on cash for any of it. Then his phone rings. A voice offers a game: thirteen tasks, a pot that keeps growing, and one rule — don't stop.

The first task is a joke. Swat a fly. The second: eat it. After that the money climbs and the anonymous host's demands turn nastier and more dangerous. Elliot can't quit; backing out zeroes the account, and failing does worse. Mark Webber carries the role of a decent man stepping over his own limits one task at a time. Ron Perlman plays the cop trying to make sense of one very strange night in town.

Director Daniel Stamm built this as a remake of the Thai film 13: Game of Death. It works best as a moral experiment: where exactly would you hang up — and would you at all? A grim, uncomfortable ride for fans of ordinary-man-in-a-corner stories. Stream 13 Sins online on iFILM.
