Synopsis
Wassup Rockers (2005) is a street drama from Larry Clark you can watch online on iFILM. Clark — the director of Kids — spent months filming real Latino skater teens from South Central Los Angeles: Jonathan Velasquez, Francisco Pedrasa, and their crew who chose punk over hip-hop and paid for it daily in their own neighbourhood.
One afternoon they bus into Beverly Hills. The shift is immediate: same kids, different cops, different rules. Rich girls are interested; their parents and boyfriends are not. Clark shoots in his stripped-down style — non-professional cast, minimal staging, the camera following rather than leading.
