Synopsis
Enough Said (2013) is a romantic comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Nicole Holofcener. Julia Louis-Dreyfus stars opposite James Gandolfini in one of his final roles, a tender look at dating in middle age.
Eva is a divorced masseuse bracing for an empty nest as her daughter leaves for college. At a party she meets two people at once: Albert, a warm and funny man she starts to fall for, and Marianne, a new client and poet who never stops griping about her useless ex-husband. The catch lands slowly. Albert is that ex. Now someone else's grievances start poisoning Eva's own happiness, and she catches herself hunting for flaws in a good man.
Holofcener writes conversations where awkwardness and affection sit side by side, miles from glossy rom-com fantasy. Gandolfini, forever Tony Soprano to millions, plays gentle, self-deprecating and quietly heartbreaking against type. A smart adult comedy for anyone tired of fairy-tale romance.
