Synopsis
Happy Face (2025) is a crime drama worth watching online on iFILM. Dennis Quaid plays Keith Jesperson, a death-row inmate who refuses to let his daughter go. Annaleigh Ashford is the grown Melissa, with a husband, a new name and a peace that suddenly cracks. What pulls her in is someone else's sentence — it looks like an innocent man may be executed for a killing her father committed, and she may be the only person who can stop it.
Directed by a team led by Michael Showalter and Laurel Parmet, the series draws on the real memoir of a serial killer's daughter. It's less a manhunt than a study of what a child inherits without asking, and whether you can shake it off.
