Pet (2016) is Carles Torrens' psychological horror-thriller, free to watch online on iFILM. Seth works as an attendant at an animal shelter and drifts through a lonely, colorless routine until he runs into his high-school crush, Holly, on a city bus. Harmless longing curdles fast into obsession.

After she turns him down, Seth (Dominic Monaghan) does the unthinkable: he drugs her and locks her in a cage in the basement beneath the shelter. From there the film flips the usual captor-and-victim script. Holly (Ksenia Solo) proves far more dangerous than her jailer, and the screenplay drops a twist that sends your sympathies tumbling. A two-hander in a single room becomes a battle of wills, with the cornered party turning out to be the last one you'd expect.
