Synopsis
Alpha and Omega (2010) is a family animated adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Two wolves get tranquilized by park rangers and shipped a thousand miles from home to Idaho, then have to walk back together.
Kate is a by-the-book alpha, raised to lead the pack one day. Humphrey is a goofball omega who'd rather log-slide down a hill than follow any rules. Back home their castes barely mixed. Now they're stuck crossing the country side by side, because if Kate doesn't return, the truce between two rival packs collapses and a turf war breaks out. Hayden Panettiere and Justin Long voice the leads, with Dennis Hopper and Danny Glover as the pack elders — one of Glover's late roles.
Animated across studios in India and the US, the film rode the post-Avatar wave with a stereoscopic 3D release. It's a straight-ahead road movie: chases, slapstick, a light romance, no edgy jokes or hidden layers. Good for watching with kids around six and up.
