Columbo (Seasons 1–10)

Columbo (1971) is the classic American detective series you can watch online on iFILM. It flips the usual whodunit on its head: you see the murderer commit the crime in the opening minutes. The suspense lives entirely in how Lieutenant Columbo will catch them.

Peter Falk plays a homicide detective everyone underestimates. Rumpled raincoat, cheap cigar, a wreck of a Peugeot, one squinting eye, and that habit of turning back at the door with "Oh, just one more thing..." His suspects are wealthy, polished, and sure of themselves — directors, surgeons, professors who mistake him for a harmless bumbler. They are wrong. Columbo fixes on the tiny detail the killer dismissed and pulls on that thread until the whole story unravels.

Individual episodes were directed by some heavy hitters, including a young Steven Spielberg and Jonathan Demme, while Falk picked up multiple Emmys for the role.
