Synopsis
Diagnosis: Murder (1993–2001) is a CBS crime mystery series you can watch online on iFILM. Eight seasons, 178 episodes — one of the network's longest-running procedurals of the decade. Dick Van Dyke stars as Dr. Mark Sloan, a physician who moonlights as an amateur detective, and his real-life son Barry Van Dyke plays his on-screen son, police detective Steve Sloan.
Every time a suspicious death crosses Mark's path — in the hospital hallway, at a dinner party, anywhere — he is compelled to investigate. He reads the scene before the detectives do, untangles the motive while treating patients, and calls Steve when he needs a warrant. Pathologist Amanda Bentley (Victoria Rowell) and young Dr. Jesse Travis (Charlie Schlatter) round out the core team, each bringing a different piece of the puzzle. The cases range from locked-room puzzles to courtroom twists, but the tone stays squarely in classic whodunit territory.
Produced by Dean Hargrove Productions and the Fred Silverman Company for CBS, the show keeps the violence off-screen and the deduction front and center — comfort-crime television done right. Stream all seasons of Diagnosis: Murder online on iFILM.
