True Detective (2014) is HBO's acclaimed crime anthology you can watch online on iFILM. Each season tells a completely new story — different detectives, different landscape, different darkness buried beneath an ordinary American town or frozen wilderness.

Four seasons, 30 episodes and counting. Season one dropped Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson into the Louisiana bayous chasing a case that sprawled across seventeen years. Season four pulls the camera north of the Arctic Circle: detective Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster) and her partner Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis) investigate the vanishing of eight researchers at an Alaskan polar station during the months-long polar night. Fiona Shaw and John Hawkes round out the fourth-season cast. The series is still in production.
