About

Synopsis

The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) is Norman Jewison's crime romance, ready to watch online on iFILM. A bored millionaire pulls off a flawless bank heist, then nearly loses everything to the woman who sees right through him.

Thomas Crown has money, charm, and nothing to do with either. For the thrill of it, he assembles a crew of strangers who never meet and orchestrates the perfect robbery. Enter Vicki Anderson, an insurance investigator who couldn't care less about the rulebook as long as she recovers the cash. She pegs him as the thief almost at once. The trouble is the spark that neither of them counted on. Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway turn an interrogation into a game of chess and a seduction at the same time, and that chessboard scene still gets quoted today.

Jewison shot the picture in the era's fashionable split-screen, shattering the frame into dozens of panels. The theme song, "The Windmills of Your Mind," took home the Oscar. This one is for viewers who prize cool style, dry irony, and two leads who'd rather outsmart each other than win. Stream The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) online on iFILM.
