Synopsis

The Under-Gifted (Les sous-doués, 1980) is a French comedy from Claude Zidi, and you can watch online on iFILM. A private high school near Versailles, a graduating class of hopeless slackers, and a brand-new headmaster determined to crush them into shape. The odds of peace are zero.

Only luck has carried these kids this far. They wire electricity to door handles, run wild experiments in chemistry class, smuggle pets into lessons, and torpedo every attempt to teach them anything. Looming ahead is the baccalauréat, the graduation exam they somehow have to pass. Flunking it here means more than a retake — it means real trouble.

A very young Daniel Auteuil makes an early screen appearance alongside the comic bluster of Michel Galabru, while Zidi keeps the farce moving at full tilt, gag after gag, in the rowdy spirit of early-1980s French comedy. There's no hidden depth, just pure schoolyard chaos for anyone craving the reckless European humor of that era. Stream The Under-Gifted (1980) online on iFILM.
