Tutti scrubs his apartment, redoes his laundry, buys him a machine gun off the back of a van for his birthday and starts rearranging his love life, much to the dismay of his boss and girlfriend, Lieutenant Gwen Harper. Then she witnesses a murder and flatly refuses to stay out of it. Suddenly Joe has a new partner: his own mom, who throws herself into shootouts like a kid at recess. Sylvester Stallone plays Joe, with Golden Girls star Estelle Getty as the unstoppable Tutti.

Roger Spottiswoode directed it at the peak of the buddy-action-comedy craze. Stallone himself has called it one of his worst roles, and honestly that's half the fun: it works best taken as a goofy, lightweight trifle carried by two likable leads.
