Sofia the First (2013) is a Disney animated kids' series you can watch online on iFILM. A village girl is turned into royalty overnight when her mother marries the king of storybook Enchancia. Ariel Winter voices the new little princess.

Settling into palace life takes some doing. Sofia enrolls at Royal Prep, where the three good fairies from Sleeping Beauty teach her manners and the basics of magic. She also inherits a stepfamily — a kind stepbrother and a snooty stepsister, Amber, who takes a while to warm up. A pair of talking animals and an enchanted amulet help her along, and that amulet now and then summons a real Disney princess to lend advice.

The show works as a gentle on-ramp into the Disney universe for very young viewers: Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine and Belle drop by, and each episode steers toward a simple lesson about kindness and honesty.
