Star Butterfly is a fourteen-year-old princess from a magical dimension who receives a powerful wand and promptly levels half her hometown with it. Her parents' solution: send her to Earth to live with a normal family.

Star lands with the Diaz household and starts attending middle school alongside Marco, a kid whose reputation as a cautious homebody does not match what's actually going on inside his head. Voiced by Eden Sher and Adam McArthur respectively, the two stumble through interdimensional threats, a wand that rarely does what it's told, and the general chaos of high school. Alan Tudyk, Jenny Slate and Jeffrey Tambor round out the voice cast.
