Synopsis
Stand by Me Doraemon (2014) is a feature-length anime you can watch online on iFILM. It's the first fully 3D-CG Doraemon movie, directed by Takashi Yamazaki and Ryuichi Yagi.
Nobita is a hopeless kid. He's late for everything, bombs his tests, and gets picked on at school. Then his great-great-grandson Sewashi travels back from the future with a robotic cat named Doraemon and a blunt assignment: fix Nobita's life, or the cat doesn't get to go home. Armed with the gadgets Doraemon pulls from his pocket, the boy tries to rewrite his own future and work up the nerve to befriend Shizuka.
The film reworks Fujiko F. Fujio's long-running manga into a single story about growing up and letting go. The ending hits harder than a kids' cartoon has any right to, so keep tissues nearby. Stream Stand by Me Doraemon (2014) online on iFILM.
