Synopsis
Life-Size (2000) is a family fantasy comedy you can watch online on iFILM. This Disney Channel television movie pairs a young Lindsay Lohan with supermodel Tyra Banks, who plays a fashion doll that suddenly turns into a living, breathing person.
Casey is grieving her late mother and stumbles onto a book of spells, hoping to bring her back for even a single day. The magic misfires. Instead of her mom, it wakes Eve — a glamorous model doll who now walks, talks and sings for real. Banks plays her with the wide-eyed delight of a creature seeing the world for the first time: she can't do anything, everything amazes her, and she turns every clumsy mistake into a small celebration. Casey has to hide her living toy from her father and classmates while slowly learning to let her grief go.
Director Mark Rosman delivers a gentle story about friendship, loss and growing up, sugary only in its glitter count. For plenty of viewers it's pure Disney Channel nostalgia and a glimpse of Lohan before the fame; Eve's tune "Be a Star" still pops up online. A nice pick for a family movie night.
