Synopsis

Anna, a British exchange student in Los Angeles, falls hard for Jacob, an American classmate. They move in together for the summer. When she ignores her visa expiry to stay a few more weeks, U.S. immigration bars her from returning, and the couple is left to love each other across an ocean. Anton Yelchin and Felicity Jones improvised much of their dialogue, which gives the long phone calls and missed flights a raw, unscripted ache. A young Jennifer Lawrence appears as the woman who drifts into Jacob's life while Anna is gone.
