Final Space (2018) is an animated series you can watch online on iFILM — a space comedy laced with action, adventure and a surprisingly sad core. Astronaut Gary Goodspeed is serving a five-year sentence alone aboard a ship, killing time by chatting with its onboard computer.

Days before his release, Gary scoops up a strange green creature he names Mooncake. The adorable little orb turns out to be a planet-destroying weapon, hunted by the armada of a villain called the Lord Commander. Gary barely cares about the cosmic stakes — for the first time in years, he isn't alone. The crew that forms around him is a mess in the best way: tough pilot Quinn, deadly bounty hunter Avocato, twitchy robot KVN. Creator Olan Rogers opens with pure goofball energy, then keeps veering hard into grief and loneliness.

The show ran three seasons, first on TBS and then on Adult Swim. The voice cast includes Fred Armisen, David Tennant as the villain, Conan O'Brien and Jane Lynch.
