Synopsis

Day of the Woman (1978) is Meir Zarchi's notorious horror film, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Jennifer, a writer from New York, rents an isolated cabin to finish her first novel. The quiet doesn't last.

Four local men hunt her down, brutalize her and leave her for dead. She lives. What follows is the reason the movie still gets argued about decades later: a slow, deliberate reckoning in which the prey turns on the hunters one by one. Camille Keaton plays Jennifer with an eerie calm, and Zarchi shoots it raw — little music, long takes, a camera that refuses to look away.

The film triggered censorship battles across multiple countries and later circulated worldwide under the title I Spit on Your Grave. This is stripped-down rape-and-revenge with no gloss and no comfort: harsh, divisive, not for everyone. If you want to trace where a whole strain of modern revenge thrillers came from, stream Day of the Woman (1978) online on iFILM.
