Synopsis
Halloween (2007) is Rob Zombie's reimagining of John Carpenter's 1978 slasher — stream it online on iFILM. Zombie wrote and directed, and his version asks a question the original never bothered with: what made Michael Myers.
The film opens on a ten-year-old boy named Michael (Daeg Faerch) in a household held together by nothing — a drunk stepfather, an indifferent older sister, a mother (Sheri Moon Zombie) who works the strip club and is the only person who shows him any warmth. Zombie lingers there long enough that the knife, when it comes, lands differently. Then the years pass in a psychiatric facility, with Malcolm McDowell's Dr. Loomis watching through glass. Then the adult Michael — Tyler Mane, six feet eight and almost completely silent — walks out. Laurie Strode, played by Scout Taylor-Compton, is the next destination.
Produced by Dimension Films and Trancas International Films on a $15 million budget, the 109-minute film pulled over $80 million at the box office. The cast also includes Brad Dourif, Danny Trejo, Danielle Harris, and Udo Kier. Watch Halloween (2007) online on iFILM.
