Synopsis

Blues Brothers 2000 (1998) is John Landis' musical comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Elwood Blues walks out of prison to find his brother Jake gone, the band scattered and the orphanage that raised him shut down. So he does the only thing he knows — puts the band back together.

Black suit, dark shades, and back on the road, Elwood rounds up the old players, a sentimental bartender and a ten-year-old orphan named Buster. The plan is to reach New Orleans and win the big prize at the Battle of the Bands, with the cops chasing him the whole way down. Dan Aykroyd returns as Elwood, joined by John Goodman and Joe Morton.

This sequel to the 1980 cult favorite treats the plot as an excuse to parade living legends of blues, soul and R&B across the screen — B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Wilson Pickett all show up to play. There's more music here than dialogue, and that's the whole point. One for the soundtrack, not the story.
