About

Synopsis

Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983) is a horror and fantasy anthology you can watch online on iFILM. Four stories, four directors: John Landis, Steven Spielberg, Joe Dante and George Miller, each filming a segment drawn from Rod Serling's classic TV show.

A prologue with Dan Aykroyd sets the tone before the film splits into separate tales. A bigot learns a lesson no one would wish on an enemy. In a retirement home, a single night hands the residents back their youth. A boy with frightening powers rules a household that's terrified to cross him. And an airline passenger, played by John Lithgow, swears there's something alive on the wing. The four pieces share no plot, only the dread that reality is about to crack open.

The project gathered its directors at a peak: Spielberg had just released E.T., Miller was wrapping his Mad Max saga. A fatal on-set accident took actor Vic Morrow during filming, yet the movie endures as a rare case of four distinct styles bound into one book of fears.
