Underneath the case-of-the-week runs one long thread, with Charlie quietly piecing together who framed him and why. His partner Dani Reese, sharp and carrying her own past, can barely stomach his methods at first.
Damian Lewis carries the season on the character's strange charm: a soft voice, absurd questions, the gaze of a man who already lost everything and so fears nothing.
